Widgey

Privacy policy

Updated: 19 October 2026

Widgey is developed by Luca Mattiazzi. This policy covers the iPhone app, the Apple Watch app and its complication.

No data collected

Widgey collects no personal data. It has no account, developer server, advertising, analytics or tracking, and makes no network requests.

Data on your devices

Your pet’s name, needs, friendship, accessories and settings stay on the Apple Watch. The iPhone app keeps the last state it received, the adopted pets and choices waiting to be sent. The two devices exchange them through Apple’s WatchConnectivity; they are never sent to the developer. The app does not access contacts, location, photos, the microphone or health data.

Deleting data

Deleting Widgey from your iPhone and Apple Watch removes the stored data, except for backups managed by the operating system. There is no developer recovery service.

Support and this website

If you email luca@grokked.it, the developer receives your address and what you write, and uses it only to reply. These pages count visits with Plausible Analytics, hosted on the developer’s own server: it sets no cookies and stores no personal data, only aggregate figures such as page views and referring sites. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking; the server processes technical request data such as IP addresses to serve the site.

Changes

This policy will be updated if the app’s data practices change.
